London Fashion Week: My Experience

Processed with Snapseed.

Hello Beautiful people! I know this post is long due, but I was waiting to receive all the press releases from the shows and presentations I attended this year and now I’m finally ready to share what I’ve seen this year at fashion week. Unfortunately I was only able to attend the shows on day one of fashion week because of a holiday I had planned long before, but trust me, If I went all week I would have been dead by now. When you actually experience LFW you realize how hectic and stressful it is: there’s a show pretty much every 30 minutes and you’ll find yourself running all over London trying not to be late and trust me, you’ll end up missing a few shows. But enough with the rambling now, here’s my day 1 recap.

The first presentation I attended was ThreeFloor (see above), one thing I love about this brand is that they have a very defined “look”, if I had no idea what presentation i was going to attend I would have figured it out the second I saw one of the dresses, and I love when a brand can do that. The color palette was stunning, greens, yellows, pinks, blues, lace and ruffles, bare shoulders, flowy silhouettes, just stunning.

Teatum Jones was probably the show I was the most excited about, and it did not disappoint, I loved how they used the same color palette for both men and women, the abstract prints and water color-like flowers really won me over, not to mention the stunning shoes. I only ever say I LOVE a designer when I would wear every single piece in the collection, and this is definitely the case. I need one of those super colorful leather jackets.

XiaoLi won over my heart with the whole atmosphere of the presentation, I loved the whole color palette, the asymmetrical cuts, the movement of the skirts and trowsers. I’m sold.

Steventai was just adorable, The overall feeling of the collection was very boyish, geek even, but made feminine again by the details, like trims and ruffles.

Ryan LO‘s show was incredible, again the atmosphere, the music and the overall show got me super excited, I loved the “pirate” vibe of the collection, I’m madly in love with the sparkle, the ruffles and the bright colors, I would really love to actually use some of the pieces for an editorial.

Hope you guys enjoyed, stay tuned for an exciting upcoming post.
